Help improve California's water quality along coastal waterways and marinas.
Honey Pot Day began in 2009 as a means to offer individual boaters a one-time free mobile sewage pumpout as a convenient option to properly dispose of sewage. From 2009 until 2012 over 700 boaters were educated about the adverse effects of discharging sewage and over 14,000 gallons of sewage were properly disposed.
The Santa Monica Bay Restoration Foundation (SMBRF) is proud to present a new pilot program Honey Pot Unlimited. Honey Pot Unlimited is an extension of the Honey Pot Day program and offers all the members of a selected marina or yacht club unlimited free mobile sewage pumpouts for a trial period of three months.
Honey Pot Unlimited fosters relationships between the mobile pumpout companies and marinas and yacht clubs. The SMBRF expects the program to demonstrate to marinas and yacht clubs the added benefits of providing this vital amenity to their boaters.
